Oliver Cantoral,
he was born in Panama in 1979 and since his first years of life he is influenced in music by his father who played guitar.
He studied violin for two years at the National Conservatory of Panama, but later became attracted to percussion and began taking private classes and then with the Danilo Pérez Foundation, influenced by the Panama Jazz Festival.
He worked for 7 years as a teacher of drums, percussion and musical stimulation for children at the Dreams Factory Academy by Omar Alfano.
He has had the opportunity to work in Panama with bands and artists such as
Bobby Cruz, David and Abraham Velásquez, Michelle Coltrane, Shea Welsh, Hila Plitman, Tributo a Chile, José Andrés Santana, Semilla de Vida (band nominated for the Arpa and AMCL Awards for best live album), Manny Montes, Funky, Roberto Orellana, Danilo Montero, Felsy Jones, Somos Leon 507, Ivan Barrios, Alex Montes (who gives him the nickname "Checheres Man"), Salsa Orchestra of Firefighters of Panama, Malo Santo, Xantos Jorge, Alex Marin, Carla,Kjaerby, Yomira John, Jirondai Project, Tomi Townsend, María Anabel, Rafael, Apolayo, Fabricio Alvarado, Luis Fabian.
He is currently the percussionist of the Dule Orchestra of Panama and Banda la Tribu, a musical group that combines the native instruments of the Kuna culture with rock and Panamanian folklore and that has represented Panama in multiple international festivals in Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica , Japan, Brazil, etc
Currently, he's an endorsement artist of Gama Percussion and Murat Diril Cymbals.
